A Quiet Contemplation of Sunshine

 “A Quiet Contemplation of Sunshine” is a concept album that explores the idea of choosing to look at heartbreak and past relationships through a lens of optimism rather than a negative one. It is an honest look at the healing all of my past romantic endeavours have forced me to go through and me standing on the other side of that healing filled with gratitude for all of those experiences, even the painful ones. Sonically I wanted this record to feel reminiscent of the country and folk music I grew up listening to by Johnny Cash, The Chicks, early Taylor Swift, and The Lumineers. This record to me feels so nostalgic exploring themes of teenage love while also sounding like the music I would have listened to at that time but it also feels very current to who am now writing these stories in hindsight. This Album is a perfect picture of the music I daydreamed of getting to make, sitting in my childhood bedroom at seventeen years old and I am so beyond excited and proud to finally be making that music
